MH Architects were appointed on this scheme for the redevelopment of council run accommodation to provide 40 accessible flats for the active elderly with associated communal and staff support facilities.
Similar in approach to recent ‘Extra Care’ facilities, this scheme provides bright spacious homes that do not hint at their sheltered nature. Flats, a large lounge and informal meeting areas loosely wrap around a sensory garden. Numerous entrances, legible routes and characterful design promote a sense of individuality.
MH Architects are providing full construction support on this scheme which is due for completion Spring 2012.
